Did you know that God created each of us to be leaders? God designed man to be a person of influence? If there is something that is in short supply in the church of today, it’s a people willing to be leaders. What do leaders look like? A good leader is not just telling people what to do or just giving orders. They are living a life of Godly character and integrity, willing to serve instead of being served and they are willing to pay the price for influence into people’s lives. Now, you may be thinking, “I’m not a natural-born leader like some others.” In Genesis 1:26 it says that we were made in the image of God. That means that inside each and every one of us, there is a creative nature and the ability to lead people. We need to recognize every opportunity to lead. It’s not always done in a church setting, on a stage, or speaking to hundreds or thousands at a time. Sometimes it’s simply one on one with another person. We all have a circle of influence. Leadership ability is something you are born with. God can use all different personalities. The outgoing or the quiet, they both can be powerful leaders, as long as they help people to become all they can be in Christ. That’s what makes you a good leader. Wherever God has you right now, be willing to grow to the next level so you can lead people. Give others an example to follow. Be determined to be an effective leader!
