Six Months Ago Today!

Wow! Six months ago today, we arrived in Nashville. We can't believe how time has gone by. When we think back to six months ago, it all seems like a blur. There was so much going on in us. So much transition. Letting go of all that was familiar to move forward to a new venture God had planned for us. Saying goodbye was the hardest thing. Saying goodbye to not only family but our church family that we had grown to love so, so much.

Our amazing family that we love and miss so much!

It doesn't get easier being away with time. We miss you all more than we can even say. But what helps us deal with that is just knowing that we are right where God wants us. That brings the comfort and joy that we need.

God has blessed us with some amazing people in our lives. These are just a few....there are so many of you that we don't even have pictures or too many to post. These last few days just before we left were some of the most emotional that we had ever experienced.

Then before we knew it, moving day had arrived...

They had to wake Brooklin up from her nap to say goodbye to Uncle Rick.

Aunt Sheri with her kids the night before leaving.

Ashley and Shine the night before we left.

In the airport at 5:00 am as Sheri and Ashley fly out to Nashville.

We can't believe how fast time has gone by. It seems like we just got here. So much has happened in the last six months that it spins our minds. There have been so many adjustments that we've made and tears we've cried and joys that we've experienced....all at the same time. So far, it's been quite a journey. Sometimes we look back at just the last few months and we are amazed at God's faithfulness. We know we are completely in His will and we are so fulfilled and at peace. For those of you in California that are reading this, we are so blessed by your love and friendship. There are so, so many there that we love and miss greatly. Your prayers and support have so strengthened and encouraged us. You have truly stood behind us in what we are doing and for that we are so grateful. We feel that we have grown so much in the past few months and God has shown us so much. We are once again in a place where we are relying totally on Him and that's a good place to be. We thank Him for His faithfulness and goodness in our lives.

We miss all of you so much and we love you. Fresno has a very dear place in our hearts and we will always think of our time there as priceless. We carry you all in our hearts even here!

  1. Ok..you have made me cry again...my heart felt like someone cut it out most of those days. And I thought it would get easier over time, but really it has gotten worse. We miss our family more than ever.
    No one will "get" that.
God has been faithful to us on this end too. In healing our hearts.
We are very happy for all of you and selfishly wish we all could all be together. But I know God has a plan. So we just keep swimming until we get the next step.
    We love you!!!!

  2. Sorry T to get the emotions flowing. We miss our family being together. We're such a close family so to be so far apart is really tough. But God is good and he has a plan. We love you guys and miss you more than you know! Makes us really appreciate our family even more.

  3. Wow, 6 months! I think there should be a law that when people move away they have to come back and visit every six months.

  4. I know Jocelyn! It seems weird that we've been gone that long and haven't been back for a visit yet. We'll have to see.....
