Gateway Kidz!

This past Saturday was our shopping day for Children's Ministry! What a sight we all were....Walmart, Toys R Us, Costco, Staples....how many carts can five people pull? FIVE plus a rolling tote on wheels! We were quite a sight. We wanted to share the experience with all of you. There was so much to get even just to start out. We also have ordered a bounce house which we should be getting any day now so we could have something special to offer the kids since we're just in our beginning phase. It's so exciting to be getting everything ready and finalized for this weekend's opening service.
















Tomorrow we get to organize it all. Where's my labeler??? How fun, labeling drawers, totes and everything I can stick a label on. (Maybe I better let Angela label...I might start labeling my family, my dog, the neighbor....) We are really excited about the children's ministry. We are giving our best starting out because we want the families to know that children are important to us...it's raising up the next generation.

Well, we just wanted to share a little bit about Children's with you. We have some great things planned and we are already looking forward to growth. Continue to pray for us. Rick and I were just talking today that, even though this weekend is coming up, it's not all about just this weekend...this is EVERY weekend. And though the excitement is building, we know it's more than just about one Sunday but about many to come. We are praying and believing God to do great things. Not just this Sunday, but every Sunday and in between. We've had team prayer meetings and individual prayer going on, praying over every Invite Card, mailer, and newspaper ad, believing that when they lay hold of that in their hands, their eye is immediately drawn to it, and the Holy Spirit is drawing them in. We are calling that building full! Not just this weekend but every weekend! We've been calling them in from all four points of the city and we see them coming.
