Wow! What a year it's been! Today was the one year mark since Gateway Life Church started. God has been so good in the past year. When we look back at where we were one year ago, we're amazed. It's been a journey and there is still some hard ground to plow but we are determined. God has added to this house and the past few months have been such a time of strengthening and growth for those here. We know God is solidifying the work and making the Gateway Family stronger so that as new families are brought in, we are ready and prepared for them. And He is doing just that!You always think things will be a certain way when you start out on a journey but we should know better by now. Things never go the way we think they will go, do they? God has a plan and we can't get in a hurry or try to do things in ourselves. We must carry out the plan He's called us to, just as He's called us to do it, and in His time, more of the vision unfolds. While we are not where we want to be, we sure are a lot further than we were one year ago! Thank the Lord!
We are so thankful for the team we have helping us. Mike & Angela, Mike & Cindy, Travis and Ashley.....we couldn't do this without you and we wouldn't want to! You all are such a blessing and bring such a strength to us. It's so great to see God moving in your lives as you stretch and grow in your callings. We thank God for you guys everyday and we love you more than you could ever know!We are so excited about the future. We want to say thank you to everyone for your prayers and support. You have helped to plow the ground and your seed will bear fruit! Thank you for believing in us! We love you!
Now.....on to the second year!
Wow, I cannot believe it's already been a year! What a major difference a year makes! I agree, we are not where we want to be, but we are definitely where we NEED to be. The past year, we have been laying our foundation, equipping the people to help plow the ground. It's been an amazing year! Thanks so much for the nice things you said...We were called to serve you and it's an honor for us! :-) We love you guys! And Happy Birthday Gateway Life!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how this year has flown by so quickly. I must say I thought that we would be a little farther along but you are right mom it is always in Gods timing. Even if its the right thing but in the wrong time it is still the wrong thing because its not the right time. I do thank God for where he has led us and made us grow. I feel like a better person, which means I feel little older and I have some understanding of life. I wouldn't change anything!!!
ReplyDeleteWe can only say that we are so Blessed having found Gateway. Our only regret is that we did not find it a year ago! Meeting all of the Gateway family and beginning our new life with the Church and God is so AMAZING. Just wanted to say Thank-you for everything you are and everything that you do. You're awesome!!!!

HEY!!! all you wonderful people, it doesn't seem possible, time goes by so fast we are so happy you are right in the center of GOD'S WILL, YOU SURE HAVE THE FAVOR OF GOD..WE MISS YOU IN CA. but being in God's will is far better than anything to bring joy & happiness to you ..we've had some wonderful times as family and we can always relate back to those times for comfort..and look forward to the forever together...we'll plan something in the future..
