Just checkin' in!

I know it seems like lately our posts have only been after our Sunday services. Before we know it, our week is over. Things are good right now. We have such a momentum going. Our volunteer base is growing and it's exciting to see the people running with the vision. And they are getting lit up about where we're going. We've seen so much change and growth in people. God is so good.

Sunday service was incredible. Praise and worship was amazing. We still just stand in awe at how the people have learned and grown to actually pressing into the presence of God. These are the same people who used to stand with their hands folded quietly like they were being entertained. They have experience what it is to engage in worship and to actual give of yourself in praise and worship and the results have been incredible.

Sometimes it feels as if we're just saying the same thing over and over on here but that's what's going on! We've had some great Tuesday night classes too. God has really downloaded some great things in Rick each week to share and everyone has been pulling on that and loving it.

We trust that all of you are doing well and life is good! We miss so many of our friends in California and as time goes on we find ourselves missing you even more. We love all of you and keep us in your prayers!

Easter was Awesome!

What an awesome Easter service we had at Gateway Life! God is so good. The team worked so hard on the music and multimedia and everything went perfectly! It was an amazing service. We had our biggest crowd so far and more visitors than ever before. The service ended with salvations! We were so thankful for God showing up in a big way. We were so proud of Travis and Ashley and the whole music team! Way to go! Here's a few pictures to share our day with you.

Of course, Alex was adorable as usual!

Angela had some great things for the kids. The little guys made flowers using their handprints. Too adorable!

Here's a couple of our older kids.

Angela arranged two different Easter egg hunts. One for the older kids and one for the little kids. Eggs were hid all over the courtyard.

Here's a few of the older kids hunting their eggs. I didn't get any of the little kids but Angela took some great ones, so hopefully she'll be sharing those!

And to leave you with a little spring color....
What's Easter without tulips?
Again, thanks so much for all your prayer and support! God is doing things in Nashville....you just wait!

Crazy Weather!

Here's a little video of some of our crazy weather today! Sorry it's a little long but Max was so cute I couldn't stop.

The crazy thing is, at the same time I was filming this, the devastating tornadoes were taking place about 30 minutes away. I had no idea at the time. If you listen, about 1:20 into the video you can hear the warning sirens going off here in Bellevue.

We're all good here. I think you don't realize the magnitude until after you see the effects of the damage and life lost. Thank God, we didn't experience anything even close to that. We're still hearing reports about the damage. Seems it's more widespread than originally thought. Several areas have been affected. A couple of fatalities so far and numerous injuries. We are praying for those impacted.

Anyway, we are gearing up for Easter Sunday. In great expectation!

Continue to keep us in your prayers. We love you and miss you all!

Our Baby Turns 20!

Happy Birthday Princess!
We can't believe you are 20 years old today! Seems just yesterday, we were holding you in our arms for the first time. We blinked and here we are. Now you are a beautiful young woman getting ready to start on your own life and family soon. We are so very proud of all that you have become. You have far exceeded how wonderful we thought having a daughter could be. You are the best!
Happy Birthday Baby!

And it's the birthday of another very special person......

Isnt' she so cute in her pink cowgirl hat?
We love you and miss you Jan! Have a great birthday!

Resonate Rocked!

I know it's been several days since we posted on the blog. Sorry 'bout that! Been a little busy here.

We had a great Resonate weekend. Amazing! We don't even know quite where to begin. Sunday morning service, we had such a powerful time in worship. The people were just pulling and pulling on the presence. There was such an expectancy in that place like we have never had before.

Our little Alex was all decked out for the day! He was in his little dress pants, dress shirt and tie. You should have seen his little black dress shoes. He looked like a little man!

Then after the morning service, we had to take down all the equipment and move it to the church where we were having the Sunday night service. Talk about a marathon! That was wild. We had such a huge response of volunteers that stayed to help tear down equipment, trucks and trailers carrying it all over, and then unloading and setting up again. It was quite the production. No only did we have to set up all the sound equipment, lighting, staging, music, but also all for children's. We had a great team who stayed and helped and we pulled it off!

Tearing down everything at the school after morning service

We have a lot of work to do!

The transformation begins!

Can we do that???

RESONATE BEGINS!

Then before we knew it, it was time for service. We had our volunteers out in force for the night. From parking to greeters to ushers and children's workers, media and music! The greatest thing for us was to see everyone coming together as a team and working for a common goal. Resonate was a huge success! God really moved in that place and what was so amazing was that our church people were down in front just praising and worshipping God and pulling on for more and more. The excitement was incredible. We had visitors and some pastors there from the area. We just planted seed in the ground, that is going to grow and develop and as we have more Resonate services, we are going to see more and more powerful things.

We had a great guitarist that just happened to be visiting on the weekend!
Yeah Jared!

Jared was amazing. Everyone fell in love with him.

Afterwards, everyone was so excited and having a blast.
We caught the music/sound team letting off some steam. Some had already left
but these were the diehards left to party!

Yeah, they were feelin' good!

Are they seriously gonna do it?

Yes, they are!

Afterwards, everyone was pretty tired! It was a wonderful day but a long one! Little Alex just couldn't take anymore excitement! I think he about dropped his head in his plate!

Yeah guys, you look like you need some rest!

Definitely need some rest!

And it was such a great weekend to have special friends visiting!
Rich and Jan, we love you!

So thank you to everyone for your prayers! God is really doing amazing things here. We can't wait to see what he has next!
